  2. Thank you for the comment on my blog. In response to your question, I am planning on using some subjective questions like the example you mentioned, but I am going to try and incorporate some objective questions as well. For example, I may ask the following: How many pep rallies have you attended this school year? Another one might be: How many school performances (athletic events, band or choir concerts, plays, etc.) have you attended this school year? My belief is that students who feel a stronger sense of belonging to the school community will be more active in their participation in echool events. This way I am not just relying solely on the subjective responses of the students. You could probably do the same with your survey, such as: How much time do you spend a week reading for fun? Anyway, your plan looks great and I wish you luck with your research.
